FAQ

  • Q What supporting documents are needed for the export of chemicals by sea?

    A Generally, we need to provide MSDS, shipping power of attorney and normal customs declaration information. If it is dangerous goods, we also need to provide dangerous goods packaging performance certificate and chemical research institute identification report.
  • Q Why do we need to provide MSDS for chemical export by sea?

    A
    MSDS is an important document that transmits information about the hazards of chemicals. It briefly describes the hazards of a chemical to human health and the environment and provides information on the safe handling, storage and use of the chemical. MSDS system has been commonly established and implemented in developed countries such as the United States, Japan and EU countries. According to the chemical management regulations of these countries, manufacturers of hazardous chemicals usually have to provide a safety data sheet of their products when selling, transporting or exporting their products at the same time.
    At present, for MSDS (SDS) foreign requirements have been expanded to almost all chemicals, in this point the export of chemicals to developed countries are now basically required to have MSDS (SDS) in order to smooth customs clearance. And some foreign buyers will ask to provide MSDS(SDS) of the goods, and some domestic foreign enterprises or joint ventures will also ask for this.
  • Q What are the general chemical export informations (not belong to dangerous goods)?

    A
    Firstly, make a chemical test report (cargo transportation condition appraisal) before export, so as to prove that the goods are not dangerous goods;
    Secondly,the whole container - some ships need the identification letter, some ships do not need it. In addition, a non-hazardous letter of guarantee and MSDS must be issued, both of which are essential;
    In addition, LCL - need to provide non-hazardous guarantee letter and cargo description (name, molecular structure formula, appearance and usage in English and Chinese).
  • Q What are the dangerous chemicals export information?

    A
    Firstly, before exporting, we must make a copy of outbound dangerous goods transport packaging use identification results (referred to as: dangerous package certificate), of course, MSDS is also required;
    Secondly, the whole container - before booking, you need to provide the above two documents to apply, and so the shipowner audit. The general situation 3-5 days will be able to know whether the shipowner accepts the product. Dangerous goods booking should try to apply 10-14 days in advance to give the consignor and freight forwarder a sufficient time;
    Also, LCL - you also need to provide the dangerous package certificate and MSDS, the weight and volume of the goods before booking.
    At present, we do not do the business of exporting dangerous chemicals. Thanks!
